Khvay Samnang presented a one-night preview screening of a video of his performance Enjoy My Sand: Samnang Cow Taxi in Singapore at “Bonn Phum Nov Bo-Ding (Village Festival at the White Building)”, organized by Sa Sa Art Projects and partners as part of 2014’s Our City Festival

I have authored a catalogue text, available for download here in Khmer and English. In the essay, I argue that:

Khvay Samnang believes, he has often told me, that “if you want to learn, you must spend time, and really enjoy.” Research and play are interrelated and inextricable foundations of the artist’s practice, as seen in this new work.

A new interactive installation, which will include the video of Enjoy My Sand: Samnang Cow Taxi in Singaporewill be shown for the first time at Yavuz Fine Art, Singapore as part of And That Which Was Always Known, an exhibition I am curating which opens on 12 June 2014.
